Reporting Work
First and foremost, I am trying to continually improve my reporting abilities because I firmly believe any broadcast journalist needs to be a solid reporter first. I have been able to create packages for PSN News to hone my abilities over the past couple years. For these stories, I shoot, write and edit them all on my own. I primarily use Final Cut Pro, but I also have experience with Adobe Premiere. These videos below are only a few samples of my work, so please feel free to visit my YouTube page for a full list of stories I've worked on.
Anchoring Work
I have had extensive experience anchoring during my collegiate career, where I am an anchor for Penn State's weekly live on-campus newscast, PSN News. I also produced, edited and moderated Penn State's first and second annual televised student government presidential roundtable. Throughout the years, I've also had the opportunity to work with Penn State's College of Communications to be a host for the annual homecoming parade. To see examples of my anchoring, hosting and moderating abilities, take a look at my video below or look at my YouTube page for yourself.
Documentary Work
In addition to my experience reporting and anchoring, I interviewed, shot and edited a half-hour documentary about June Messerly, her travels around the world and her new found interest in ballroom dancing after the passing of her husband. The video below is a short excerpt from the entire documentary. If you're interested in seeing it in its entirety, please get in touch with me.
