Today
Right now, I'm a junior at Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania where I'm double majoring in management information systems and broadcast journalism. I'm a part of the Presidential Leadership Academy, Sapphire Leadership Program, Management Information Systems Association (MISA) and Penn State Network TV News (PSN TV News).
Tomorrow
After graduation, my ideal job would be as a television reporter or television producer for a national magazine format show such as 20/20, Nightline or Rock Center where I am given enough time to truly tell a story. Because journalism is a field where there are dozens of applicants for one job opening, I decided to double major in management information systems as another option. Thankfully, I'm able to say that I'm majoring in both of my hobbies, so I look forward to finding a job in a field that I love.
Journalism
Journalism has also been a passion of mine for more than a decade. When I was in fourth grade, I bought a toy radio transmitter to play with that led me to my interest today in broadcast journalism. I’ve written for my high school newspaper and been involved in my high school’s TV productions program, where I have received regional awards. Right now I'm a junior at Penn State University where I’m an anchor, reporter and videographer for PSN News. Technology
Technology is a pretty big part of my life, and it all started at 18 months old when I was in my mom’s lap sitting at the computer and figured out the connection between the mouse and the arrow on the screen. Ever since then, I’ve learned a lot more about computers and turned it into a hobby. I’ve done everything from setting up systems to working with servers at my various technology jobs. I’ve also been helping family and friends with their computer problems for years now, and I’ve even tutored many regarding effective use of technology. Sometimes I just go over the basics (how to make a new folder, print pictures from a digital camera, etc.), but other times I teach people more advanced things (video editing, website maintenance, etc.). If you're interested in my services, please head over to the technology page.
